Addons not Updating Fix.
Have you ever had addons that for some reason are not updating automatically or as they should? Here is a fix for the problem if you are experiencing it. It’s quite simple and quick to fix, just follow the guide below.
When I open up my Addons I can see that I have updates available
Here there is one update available right now.
However, when I click it and go to install the update, nothing happens?
It looks like there is a fix needed, so here it is.
Ok, let’s go to SYSTEM and then FILE MANAGER
As you can see I am using the AWESOME WOOKIE BUILD and I am running Kodi Isengard 15.2 on my T8-AML-V3S. Check out some the great deal on these devices by clicking here.
Once you have FILE MANGER open, select PROFILE DIRECTORY, on some systems, like mine you may need a “double click” for this.
Now Select DATABASE, again, you may need a “double click”
You will now be able to see the contents of the Database folder. Take note of the two files called Addons 16.db and Addons 18.db. We are going to DELETE these two files. If you are unsure about doing this you could always navigate to the Database folder using a File Manager and take a copy of them first. (That’s what I did)
One at a time highlight the file and bring up your Context Menu and select DELETE. Do this by hitting the menu key on your remote which looks like the image shown below, or if you are using a keyboard, just hit the “c” key.
Delete the two files.
Now, once this is done you need to CLOSE KODI and RESTART.
Automatically now, upon the restart, the Addon updates.
I hope this solves the problem for you if you ever experience it.
