Evening Guys and Girls following on from tonight’s shock announcement from TvAddons i thought i had to put in words and produce this blog. The news that Exodus Dev Lambda has decided to retire from Kodi Third Party addon development.

Evening Guys and Girls, As per usual it has been a very busy few weeks within the third party Kodi Addon community. Lots of internal fighting but whats new there. The drama seems to be part and parcel of our once great community.
The announcement that I have all been dreading has been made.
Lambda has called it a day and retired from Kodi Third Party Addon Development. What doe’s this mean for the future of Addons such as Exodus and Phoenix?
Is is a surprise? No not after what i have been reading the last few days on sites, forums and facebook pages. However was rather hoping that Lambda would have had second thoughts. I know how much work has gone into his addon’s over the years. I know the decision would not have been taken lightly.
Kodi third party addon development and coding has been a huge part of Lambda’s life for so long he must be devastated especially to end this way.
On the other hand maybe the weight of his shoulders will enable him to move on and enjoy life and spend time with his family. I know myself how much time this supposed hobby can consume of your life.
I would like to just take this opportunity and i am sure all of you will to in Thanking Lambda for all the years of entertainment he has provided Thanks for bringing us such a superb addons as Genesis, Phoenix and Exodus. Not only that but all the help and advice you have given all the coders and new dev’s within this community. You will be surprised by the amount of addons that use his code or he has helped over the years.
You Sir are a true Gentleman and a Kodi Legend in my eyes.
What does this mean for the future development of Exodus and Phoenix? This is what TvAddons the group Lambda was part of has had to say on the matter via their twitter account.
So they seem to think its business as usual. However these team members in my eyes have seriously big boots to fill. I wish them all luck and look forward to seeing what the future holds. But it is still a very Sad Day. I have seen people on twitter comparing this to the day Mash Up closed down. This to me is a much bigger blow!
I for one respect his decision so i all you all to have the same.
Right I am off to have a few beers and let this news sink in.
